Insignia Health to Support NHMA in fight against COVID-19
The National Minority Health Association (NHMA) was recently awarded $11.1 million by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to help develop and support community-based teams to increase vaccine confidence and reduce barriers to vaccination in underserved communities. Insignia Health is designated as a national supporting organization as it provides insight into patient activation, which reflects an individual’s knowledge, skills and confidence for health self-management. Lower Patient Activation Measure® (PAM®) scores for individuals may indicate lower interest in COVID-19 vaccination, thereby help NMHA to target resources more efficiently among different populations across the United States.
