PAM scores increase for Medicare Advantage members using Mobile Integrated Healthcare
A new study published in the Journal of Health Economics and Outcomes Research showed PAM® scores increasing for Medicare Advantage members who participated in a Mobile Integrated Health (MIH) intervention program.
MIH is a patient-centered approach to population management that creates a needs-matched, time appropriate assignment of one or more members of a multi-professional clinical team to care for patients on a scheduled or unscheduled basis.
Participating Medicare Advantage members’ PAM scores improved 3.4 points (5.3%) over a three-month period, indicating that the MIH program was effective in increasing activation, which should result in a reduction in avoidable utilization and cost.
