Study Further Validates PAM Translations for Denmark, Germany, Norway and the Netherlands
A new study shows that European translations of PAM-13 (Danish, Dutch, German and Norwegian) resulted in four instruments with good psychometric capabilities for measuring patient activation.
Data from four studies covering over 5,000 patients using different translations of PAM were compared with each other and with PAM data from studies conducted in the USA. A major strength of this study is that the same methods were used for data management and statistical analysis across the other studies, resulting in the researchers ability to more accurately assess the similarities and differences between PAM scores.
